Schedule for Structural Pest Control Applicator Examinations

Structural pest control applicator examinations are administered by Agricultural Commissioner staff for the Structural Pest Control Board of the State Department of Consumer Affairs. The purpose of the examination is to license structural applicators after a written qualifying examination covering laws and regulations, worker safety, pesticide toxicity, hazards, and residues. Proficiency is also required in pesticide application equipment, application techniques, and label interpretation.

The Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) requires new applicants for the Applicators License to complete a fingerprint / background investigation. For information on the SPCB requirement and directions on how to complete this process, visit the SPCB website at pestboard.ca.gov.
